ADITI

  • Is the system a touch screen thin client (ie HELIOS, ADITI)?
  • Is the touch screen in working condition, without worn spots, cracks, cuts, etc.?
  • Is the touch screen clean?
  • Are the proper touch screen drivers installed?
  • Does the system have a privacy filter or screen protector installed?
If Yes, is the privacy filter in working condition, without cuts, worn spots, bubbles, etc.?

From the desktop, click the Start button and select Computer.
Windows Explorer will appear with all storage devices listed.

Here is a checklist of tasks to try if receiving a BSOD on your screen:

  • Check the Virtual Memory settings to see if they've been adjusted from Thinlabs factory defaults.
  • Ensure Pagefile is Disabled if using an Embedded product with EWF set to Enabled.
  • Remove any user-installed software or drivers, one at a time, rebooting after each removal (be sure that EWF is Disabled first).
  • Reload the firmware.
  • Replace the RAM.
  • Reimage the disk.

-----

Applies to: TL22, TL24, TLI84, TL86 models

First, reboot your system to see if power is restored to the Touch Screen.

-----

Check the Tablet PC Input Service to see if stopped on your system.

  • Press the Start button, select Control Panel
  • Select Services
  • Scroll down to Tablet PC Input Service, right click your mouse and select Properties
  • On the General Tab:
    • Be sure that Start Type is set to Automatic
    • If the service is stopped, press Start to start the service
(the touch screen may not yet be operational at this point)
  • On the Recovery Tab:
    • For the First Failure, Second Failure and Subsequent Failures options, select Restart the Service
  • For systems running Embedded software,
    commit changes through EWF.
  • Reboot the system. The touch screen should be working on reboot.
